Op Ed: Rick Santorum is right. I will not let the establishment GOP shove Mitt Romney down my throat

The conventional wisdom among the GOP is that religious and social conservatives will eventually fall in line behind Mitt Romney in sufficient numbers to deny Barack Obama a second term.

We will see.

I know one thing, I won't.

One thing that cannot be denied is that Mitt Romney is no conservative- not by a long shot. A flip flopping marshmallow who will say anything or do anything to get elected, Romney has run- easily- the stupidest, and most self destructive campaign in modern history. It is now an open question whether he could even be elected in a campaign season that should have been an absolute slam dunk.

Romney has-at the same time- tried to convince us he is a conservative while he and his ilk spend tens of millions viciously attacking those who are. As a result, his own negatives are so high, whether he can win is iffy at best. What an idiot. He should have ran a positive campaign of ideas. Instead,he runs 100% negative. However, I am not afraid that he won't get elected. I'm afraid that he will and that he will sully the brand of Conservatism forever.

All of this wasn't necessary. It is all because the establishment liberal GOP has been determined to shove Romney down our throats and we didn't fight hard enough against it.

I weep for our country when our choice for President is between two narcissistic, amoral opportunists.

Pick your poison, America. We lose either way.

Just my humble opinion.
