This is the responsibility that the Lord mandates for the Church. To be that moral compass that all can see. Today, the family is quickly becoming more like an endangered species than a vibrant institution founded by God.
People are more and more becoming so into themselves, it's becoming harder to find people who do make a difference. There are still great people, but things seem to be getting worse.
This coming Novemeber, we have a chance to make a difference through the power to vote. It is my prayer that we turn this nation around back to the foundations that made this Country what it was.
By getting back on our knees and repenting for the many sins that cry to heaven every day. Think about this, there have been nearly 60,000,000 abortions since 1973 in the United States.
No telling how many lives have been changed forever because they made a wrong decision. It is an evil age that has allowed the innocent to suffer like they have.
To change the minds of people who have been dormant for so long. The heart of recovery is the awakening of the family.
To bring back a respect for human dignity and life. Pope John Paul II use to preach the importance of every human life.
He preached the Culture of life, he lived it. We have his example to follow.
Pope Benedict XVI has maintained the key points to restoring the family. Our leaders can't do it alone, it is going to take all of us to turn things around.
It's going to take a sleeping giant to awaken and get activated. The present Administration attacking the Catholic Faith might be a blessing in disguise, people have become fired up as the threat of losing their freedoms become a reality.
It will be interesting to see how this plays out in the upcoming months. I think that there will be alot of mud slinging trying to get us off focus.
The rights of the unborn is an God given right to life. We become the hands of the Lord when we do his will, we become his feet when we go where he wants us to go. We become his voice when we proclaim the gospel.
Despite how bad it seems to be getting, we are still being blessed as long as we strive to do his will.
We are in a battle for the youth, those who one day will be the leaders for tomorrow. We want to be able to hand the keys to the next generation.
1 Corinthians 13:
"If I could speak all the languages of earth and of angels, but didn’t love others, I would only be a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. If I had the gift of prophecy, and if I understood all of God’s secret plans and possessed all knowledge, and if I had such faith that I could move mountains, but didn’t love others, I would be nothing. If I gave everything I have to the poor and even sacrificed my body, I could boast about it; but if I didn’t love others, I would have gained nothing.
Prophecy and speaking in unknown languages and special knowledge will become useless. But love will last forever! Now our knowledge is partial and incomplete, and even the gift of prophecy reveals only part of the whole picture! But when the time of perfection comes, these partial things will become useless.
When I was a child, I spoke and thought and reasoned as a child. But when I grew up, I put away childish things. Now we see things imperfectly, like puzzling reflections in a mirror, but then we will see everything with perfect clarity. All that I know now is partial and incomplete, but then I will know everything completely, just as God now knows me completely.
Three things will last forever—faith, hope, and love—and the greatest of these is love."
